Peer-review process

All manuscripts submitted to "Uzhhorod National University Herald. Series: Psychology" undergo a mandatory double-anonymized peer review process.

Stages of Peer Review

Manuscript Submission
Authors submit manuscripts prepared according to the journal’s requirements.

Preliminary Check
Manuscripts are checked for scope, relevance, and plagiarism using StrikePlagiarism.com. Uniqueness of the text is evaluated for all submissions.

Reviewer Selection Criteria
Reviewers are selected to ensure high-quality and independent evaluation based on:

relevant scientific qualifications and publications in the manuscript’s topic;

experience in conducting research and reviewing manuscripts;

absence of conflict of interest with authors, institutions, or research funding;

ability to provide objective and well-reasoned assessment.

Reviewer Assignment
The Editor-in-Chief assigns at least two independent reviewers per manuscript.

Reviewers may be editorial board members or external experts.

In case of a potential conflict of interest, the reviewer or editor recuses, and an independent handling editor is appointed.

Review Process

Reviewers evaluate scientific novelty, methodology, clarity, and reliability of data.

Standardized feedback is provided within 2–4 weeks (extensions possible).

Recommendations include: “accept,” “accept after revision,” “reject.”

Author Revisions

Authors receive reviewer comments and revise the manuscript or provide reasoned responses.

Responses to all comments are submitted alongside the revised manuscript for final review.

Editorial Decision
The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or, if needed, by the Editorial Board, based on reviewer evaluations.
