PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONALLY SIGNIFICANT LEADERSHIP QUALITIES OF FUTURE HEADS OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

This article is devoted to the theoretical and practical study of the problem of psychological conditions for the development of professionally significant leadership qualities of future heads of educational institutions. The essence of the phenomenology of leadership in psychological literature is characterized. Leadership is understood as a social phenomenon that manifests itself in organized groups striving for a common goal; an attitude of dominance and subordination in the system of interpersonal relations; the ability to influence individuals and groups; the ability to work with people and direct them to optimal results; effective communication; the ability to manage other people and oneself; a high degree of independence and critical thinking, personal activity, reflection and initiative. The features of the development of professionally important leadership qualities of future heads of educational institutions are considered, where research work develops creative and intellectual abilities, and pedagogical goals encourage deep generalization and systematization of the material. The functional manifestation of leadership, which is determined by the variety of leadership qualities from intellectual abilities to organizational acumen, is analyzed. The methodological foundations of empirical research into the psychological conditions for the development of professionally significant leadership qualities of future heads of educational institutions are analyzed: diagnostics of leadership, communicative and organizational abilities, and the orientation of the individual towards motivation for success. These methods correspond to the specifics of the phenomenon under study and allow us to reveal various aspects of the study of the psychological conditions for the development of professionally significant leadership qualities of future heads of educational institutions. The organization of the study, the results of the diagnostics of the psychological conditions for the development of professionally significant leadership qualities of future heads of educational institutions were analyzed: characteristics of leadership abilities; communicative and organizational abilities of students; level of motivation for success.
